11 Day Catamaran Escapade Around Southern Thailand's Most Stunning Islands
Updated: Aug 22, 2022
Climb aboard & join us on an epic 11-day voyage around southern Thailand's most stunning islands.
Departure was greeted by a downpour, at our anchorage in Chalong Bay, but the skies soon cleared as we set sail for Koh Racha Noi, & Koh Racha Yai. Snorkeling, Wing Foiling, Tow-Foiling, and the sharing of cold brews, were savored in these beautiful archipelagos.
With a new day's sunrise, came a new destination; Koh Lipe, via an overnight passage in Koh Rok's lightning-filled horizon.
The following day's advance to Koh Lipe, buoyed by 20-knot winds, was the sailing highlight of the trip, with not another vessel in sight, our lone Catamarn dancing to the pulse of the rapturous Andaman Ocean, for 5 hours.
Dropping anchor off of Sunrise Beach, we headed inland to explore this alluring island, marveling at the coral-filled crystalline waters, the pristine beaches, and the incredible, island-framed panoramas. We were fortunate to catch a squall just off of Sunset Beach, and consequently, Wing Foiled amongst this magical setting, before heading off to Koh Muk, the following day.
Arriving at Koh Muk to bruised skies, we stepped ashore and hiked through the jungle, as the clouds burst above us. We topped up with supplies in town, then headed back to the coastline, where we traversed the majestic limestone cliffs, to access the Emerald Cave's ethereal sanctuary.
Our next stop was Koh Jum; a charming island, with a calm, unhurried vibe, and invigorating rhythm. There are no bank ATMs, or 711's on this island, and in their absence, a tight community economy, with more locally sourced culinary offerings, is prevalent.
Before heading back home, our final destination was the Phi Phi Islands. Here we enjoyed Diving amongst the vibrant coral, an evening of Tow-Foiling, and a final clinking of glasses under the spectacular Andaman sunset.
